Our Green School offers teenagers the chance to develop practical, vocational skills and study towards a City & Guilds qualification ‘Skills for working Life: Horticulture’.
Young adults aged 19 – 25 with additional needs are invited to join our ‘Grow to Work’ group where they can participate in a range of horticultural work experience activities.
The Therapy Gardens offers social and therapeutic horticulture to adults with a range of physical disabilities, learning difficulties and mental health challenges.
Social and therapeutic horticulture is offered to stroke and brain injury survivors where person-centred gardening activities can benefit long term recovery and general wellbeing.
Designed with mobility in mind, our beautiful, tranquil garden offers accessible pathways, raised beds, a polytunnel classroom, sensory areas and quiet spaces.
The link between green spaces and human health is widely acknowledged, with increasing calls for ‘therapeutic horticulture’ to be prescribed by health professionals.
The Therapy Garden is a horticulture and education charity that uses gardening to generate positive change. We work with adults and teenagers with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and mental health challenges and offer school-age teenagers interventional education opportunities.
Based in the village of Normandy, Surrey, the charity was established in 1998 by a local resident, with the aim of using the healing power of horticulture to connect with vulnerable members of our community.
