Green School

Green School offers secondary school age students the opportunity to achieve an entry Level City & Guilds qualification ‘Skills for Working Life: Horticulture’ or a City & Guilds Level 1 or Level 2 for GCSE age learners.

Students are referred by both mainstream and SEN schools and The Therapy Garden offers interventional education opportunities when an individual is likely to benefit from vocational learning, in addition to their school curriculum.

Students take part in a range of horticultural activities such as growing, harvesting, maintaining gardens and preparing produce for sale. Whilst enjoying being active outdoors, the learners gain practical skills such as growing plants and vegetables from seeds to harvest and learn to work in a team. Students work with experienced horticulturists and volunteers to develop social skills and gain confidence.
