The Therapy Garden
The Therapy Garden is a charity set up in 1998 to create an attractive and supportive environment for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Motivated by the power of gardening to support, communicate and promote independence, the charity’s team of experienced horticulturalists, trustees and a committed team of volunteers, supports young people and adults with learning disabilities and development delays, mental health challenges and physical disabilities.
The charity’s evolution has resulted in the development of many new services and facilities notably a new, purpose-built office which will provide first-rate training, meeting and retail facilities.
The Therapy Garden specifically supports teenagers referred to us by special and mainstream schools in Surrey & Hampshire, and adults who are referred to us by local social services and community mental health teams.
For all clients, our aim is to develop their self-esteem and self-confidence and help remove the stigma of mental and physical disability.
